Scenography exhibition WWF. Footprint Garden, National Museum, Zurich

For the first time in the history of the Landesmuseum, the inner courtyard will be an integral part of an exhibition. The so-called ‘Footprint’ garden takes a sensual and tangible look at how people deal with water, soil, raw materials and energy. The world of the allotment garden serves as a scenographic backdrop. Allotment gardens show the global use of resources in the smallest of spaces in a specifically Swiss way. In ten zones, visitors interactively and playfully explore their personal consumption of resources in various areas of everyday life, such as housing and mobility. At the center of the garden is the ‘Footprint’ calculator, which visitors can use to calculate their own ecological footprint.
